Chatrooms, Blogging, MySpace, Facebook, I.M.ing…innovative ways to stay connected and meet new people, as well as get into trouble.  Hardly a day passes that we do not hear about an incident in the media involving the dangers of the Internet.  However, we know that in order to thrive in today’s fast-paced, computer-driven world, it is essential for our children to experiment with technological media and cultivate computer skills.

In an effort to keep our children safe, Robin Raskin, a nationally-recognized technology expert, has been invited to St. Anne’s.

On Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. Robin will present “Raising Kids in a Digital World” in the St. Anne’s gym.  This hands-on demonstration will show how children use the Internet and what parents can do to make the experience less dangerous.  She will provide valuable technology tips and tools, ranging from maintaining privacy to educating kids about the economics of the Internet and social networking to cyberbullying--everything a parent needs to know to “stay ahead of the curve” and keep their child(ren) safe.

St. Anne’s alumna, Paige Sparks, will also join Robin to provide a high-school student’s perspective on Robin’s topics.

Please join us for this important seminar Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym!
