ST. ANNE'S EXTENDS AN INVITATION:

Please join St. Anne’s Board of Trustees’ Diversity Committee and Parents’ Association as they present author, athlete and blind adventurer Erik Weihenmayer as part of their 2009-10 community reading series One Book, One St. Anne’s. Erik is the author of two best-selling books, Touch the Top of the World  and The Adversity Advantage. His writings have also appeared in various newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Forbes and Reader’s Digest.  Erik ’s athletic feats have earned him an ESPY Award, the cover of Time Magazine, induction into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, an ARETE Award, the Helen Keller Lifetime Achievement Award, Nike's Casey Martin Award, and the Freedom Foundation's Free Spirit Award. He has also carried the Olympic Torch for both the Summer and Winter Games. He has spoken at a number of colleges, universities and schools including Lehigh University, Boston College and several city-wide school programs in Boston, New York and Philadelphia where thousands of students heard Erik speak.  All attendees are encouraged, but not required, to read Touch the Top of the World before the presentation.
