Blue & Gold Week and Penny Wars!

February 18, 2020 - February 21, 2020

During the week of Feb 18-21, St. Anne's will kick off its third annual Blue/Gold Week! For students in 1st-8th, it's an opportunity to earn points for your Blue or Gold assigned team through dressing up for each of the themed days listed below. PS and Kindergarten students are also encouraged to dress up, though they are not yet assigned a color.  For students in 6th-8th grade, there will also be an opportunity to earn points for their team based on participation and success in various competitions throughout the week.

In grades 1-5, all students in a given grade are either blue or gold and it alternates through LS. Preschool and kindergarten are encouraged to dress up, but will enjoy the week impartially as they soak it all in. Students in 6th-8th grade have an assigned color which they keep for all three years. Colors are listed below as well.  Last year Gold took home the prize for the second year in a row! Will they repeat, or will Blue take home the prize??

Tuesday:  Jersey Day
Wednesday: Pajama Day
Thursday: Western Themed Day
Friday: Blue/Gold Day (Kindergarten and PS are encouraged to wear either color or both!)

PS/K- Unassigned
1st=   Blue
2nd = Gold
3rd =  Blue
4th =  Gold
5th=   Blue
6th-8th - Individually assigned and kept for three years

On top of all this, we will be having Penny Wars from TUESDAY-FRIDAY which is a fun opportunity for our kids to raise money for a charitable organization while competing by class and color!  This year, all proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Societythe largest nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers.
Each morning, students will have 10-15 minutes to drop "silver" or "gold" coins into other buckets to try and boost their scores.  Thank you for supporting your student in this fun and impactful competition!
