We invite you to dress in spring attire or your May Day best (no jeans or pajamas) and join us as we welcome spring and celebrate our amazing 8th graders and our entire community.

When the Sisters of St. Anne came to Denver, they brought May Day customs with them. As early as 1937 they carried polio-stricken children down the stairs to crown a Queen of the May and gather in celebration. That makes the tradition of May Day at St. Anne's 83 years old!

What does it mean to be May Queen?

The May Queen is a student at St. Anne's who embodies kindness, consideration, willingness to do things that benefit others, trustworthiness, unselfishness, honesty, humility, patience, wisdom, & creativity.

Our May Queen speaks well of others, has a sense of humor, and has the courage to do what is right, even when the crowd may not have that same courage.

We are proud to announce Abby Cohen as our 2020 May Queen!
