Charlotte earned a B.S. in Geology and a degree in Outdoor Education from the University of Alabama. Originally from New Orleans, LA, she was introduced to St. Anne's by John Comfort, her former headmaster at St. Martin's Episcopal School. When Charlotte visited him at St. Anne's in 1985, he offered her a position teaching P.E., as she was struggling to find a job in the oil industry. She fell in love with the St. Anne's community and decided to pursue her teaching certificate and a master’s degree in Educational Psychology. Her favorite children’s book is Curious George. Charlotte enjoys swimming, biking, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Her passion for the outdoors led her to start a non-profit, Adventures Within, to provide outdoor experiences for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis. This organization is now operated by the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center.
