Early Childhood Program
We believe that children thrive in a safe, nurturing environment that encourages a sense of wonder and curiosity. The emphasis on the "whole child" at St. Anne's means that children play, explore, and experience activities that stimulate their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, artistic, and ethical growth.
Our preschool teachers recognize that children acquire skills best when they are developmentally ready, and they allow each child to progress at his or her own rate. We foster the children's sense of competence and self-esteem by encouraging independence and a sense of responsibility. Through exposure to a variety of subjects, we also provide them with stimulation and encouragement to grow and expand their knowledge. The school's emphasis on character development begins with its youngest students, and children learn respect and kindness at an early age.
Parent involvement in the preschool classroom is welcome and encouraged, and teachers make communication with families a priority. At St. Anne's, we recognize the importance of the relationship between school and home, and we encourage parents and students alike to become involved in the special community that makes up St. Anne's Episcopal School.
