Classroom Projects
PLAY ON PATTERN Grade 1 York
Inspired by the groovy line art by artist Alicia McCarthy each 1st grader colored and decorated their own strip of paper with paint & markers. All the pieces of paper were woven together to complete a colorful and fun pattern.
STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER Grade 4
Finding inspiration from the artist known as the king of collage, Kurt Schwitters, the 4th grade classes created fruit & flowers from paper, pens & paint to cut out and glue. The students they collaged together their fruit & flowers create the arrangements.

Inspired by the simple black & white drawings by artist Hugo Guinness, the 5th Graders used pen, paint & paper to draw objects & animals. All the drawings were combined together to create a collection of like things.

ABSTRACT GEOMETRY Preschool: Nichols and Johnson
Drawing inspiration from artist Sarah Morris, who is celebrated for her geometric abstract paintings, the Preschoolers painted on the taped canvas so that when the tape was removed, they created their own unique design.
DANCING PETALS GREEN Grade 6
A blended mix of abstract interpretations of flowers, stems, and petals - shown in two color ways. Collage wall art paired with a decorative frame.

Inspired by the LOVE pop art by American artist Robert Indiana, the Pre K classes made individual painted squares to combine together to create their own LOVE pop art.

LOTS OF LOVE - PINK Pre K: Outland & Burnett
Inspired by the LOVE pop art by American artist Robert Indiana the Pre K classes made individual painted squares to combine together to create their own LOVE pop art.
CONCENTRIC CIRCLES Kindergarten Hamid
Drawing inspiration from the circle art by artist Wassily Kandinsky, the Kindergarten Classes created layered tie-dye circles with paint & water on coffee filters.

Taking inspiration from the pioneer of word art, Ed Ruscha, we had the 2nd-grade classes pick 70’s slogans to use for their individual paintings. Each child used an erasable pen to write the word, then watercolored over & rubbed away the magic pen to reveal the words.

In honor of celebrating St.Anne’s 75th Birthday, we had the 3rd-grade classes create their own colorful cakes. Each student created a layer of cake as well as the candles & stands, to create the most fabulous cake to celebrate.

FIRST TRACKS Grade 7
Paint sticks meet wood cores + carbon fiber. Students worked together to depict a Colorado-centric theme, which was adhered to custom Folsom skis. 154 cm.
